NEC Partnership Highlights Tanium’s Continued Momentum in Japan
Tanium is proud to partner with some of the best-known technology companies in Japan. Recently, we celebrated a new partnership with NEC to provide managed security services to organizations that want to achieve full visibility and control over their IT environments, including vulnerability management.
NEC Security Risk Management Service
Society 5.0 is a concept advocated by the government of Japan to use technology innovations of the fourth industrial revolution and apply them to every aspect of society, all while promoting sustainability in alignment with the United Nations’ established Sustainable Development Goals. As the number of connected devices increases, however, so does the security risk that laptops, servers, virtual machines, containers or cloud infrastructure will be compromised. As a result, Japan’s National Center of Incident Readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity (NISC) has insisted on rigorous system integrity for all organizations, including robust vulnerability management.
NEC developed its NEC Cyber Security Platform to provide these capabilities to large-scale technical teams, and this month will launch its Security Risk Management Service to further support organizations in need of managed IT and security operations. Specifically, NEC is leveraging the Tanium platform as part of this managed service to deliver real-time views of IT environments, including near real-time identification of all managed and unmanaged endpoints on the network and the ability to rapidly deploy security patches.
This is a great partnership that will strengthen how NEC can provide vulnerability management to organizations and anticipate future device management needs in areas such as point-of-sale (POS).
