Tanium Develops New AI Agent Integration with Microsoft Security Copilot
Tanium to develop a new AI agent for Microsoft Security Copilot, improving upon our existing integration and enabling SecOps teams
In today’s cybersecurity landscape security operations (SecOps) teams face an overwhelming amount of noise, consuming resources, slowing response time, and opening companies to risk. To help organizations stay ahead of threats, Tanium is excited to announce a strategic integration with Microsoft Security Copilot that will bring together AI agents and real-time data to improve cybersecurity operations.
The strategic vision: A unified approach to AI-driven security
SecOps teams often struggle with the thousands of alerts that come in from a multitude of tools. This deluge can overwhelm SecOps teams, which results in slower and less efficient investigations and longer response times.
To help SecOps teams cut through the noise, last year Tanium created an integration with Microsoft Security Copilot, which brought real-time end-to-end endpoint visibility and control capabilities together with Security Copilot’s security-specific orchestrator. This existing integration empowers SecOps teams with precise information and intelligent recommendations to act more confidently and seamlessly.
The result has been a force multiplier—the Tanium integration delivers comprehensive, real-time visibility across devices so that SecOps teams can minimize vulnerabilities and exposures and respond to incidents earlier.
Expanding on Tanium’s integration with Microsoft Security Copilot, Tanium is excited to announce its intent to develop a new AI agent for Microsoft Security Copilot that will provide real-time threat alert analysis, so organizations can utilize AI to reduce the time and effort scrubbing through thousands of threat alerts and act in real-time. Pattern analysis across systems with traditional automation approaches is challenging to conduct without intelligent orchestration optimizing decision making.
With this new agent integration, Tanium intends to enable SecOps teams to:
- Automatically triage alerts—reduces manual effort: AI analysis will detect and contextualize threats on the current state of your endpoint landscape.
- Reduce false positives: Utilizing Microsoft Security Copilot, AI models will be able to cut through noise to surface real threats.
- Real time validation of results and next steps: Security is not static. By combining Microsoft Security Copilot with real-time endpoint visibility, you will get a system that learns, evolves and strengthens over time.
What this means for security teams
With this integration, SecOps teams will no longer need to sift through mountains of alerts to eliminate false positives, understand context, and filter for priority. Instead, they can use a cohesive AI-powered security ecosystem that automates threat detection and analysis—freeing up valuable time to focus on strategic initiatives.
Looking ahead
The continuing collaboration between Tanium and Microsoft represents a strategic commitment to the future of AI-driven security. As threats continue to evolve, so must our approaches to cybersecurity. By leveraging AI-powered security intelligence and autonomous agents, organizations can stay proactive, resilient, and ahead of emerging risks.
