The TSA’s recent security directive “Pipeline-2021–01” requires critical pipeline systems and facilities to take specific critical steps to enhance pipeline cybersecurity. This was issued in direct response to the swath of ransomware and cyberattacks in 2021 on pipelines and other critical infrastructure. And while this security directive was directed only at pipelines, other critical infrastructure organizations should take notice, realizing it’s only a matter of time until they are subject to the same kinds of requirements.
So, what steps can you take today to both improve your organization’s cybersecurity stance and be better prepared for what may be an inevitable requirement by the government?
In this educational webcast, join Steve Neiers, former CISO of Chevron and current CEO for Clarity Consulting Corporation, and Ashley McGlone, Technology Strategist at Tanium, as they use the pipeline Security Directive as the basis for how your organization can enhance its current state of security.
Topics will include:
- A brief primer on the recent TSA Pipeline Security Directive and its requirements
- A discussion on the already-published Pipeline Security Guidelines based on the NIST cybersecurity framework
- A practical look at translating the baseline and enhanced security measures required in the guidelines into everyday good organizational cyber hygiene
